Marsha Needs Your Blood

My friend, Marsha, has been having blood transfusions since she was six months old.

Every three weeks, she calls the hospital to hear an outgoing message. She hopes to hear her code, DM55. If she hears it, they have her blood available and she can go in for her transfusion.

Sometimes they don’t and she has to call back the next day and maybe the day after that. In the meantime, she gets weaker…
